“This place was absolutely incredible, out in the country, private setting, and the deer come right up to the porch, or you can see them in the forest. Next to you can see the lake from inside and they leave binoculars in there for you to look at the lake . We saw a bug eagle from a many dears.It was awesome .. It's only a few minutes from the lake period very comfy, a lot of room and we will definitely be back”

“The Little Brown House was exactly what we needed. We came up to pick up our son from Michigan Tech. I was very appreciative of the recliners because I have a medical condition in my lower back that causes pain when I have to sit up straight. Having a recliner allows me to be comfortable. The property was very well maintained and clean. My only complaint, and I realize it is just me, is the bed was way to firm for me, just a persal preference. “We had a great short weekend at this property. A couple of things we noticed that brought down the rating just a bit - some of the dishes were put away dirty (seemed to have oil or butter on them) and the dishwasher didn’t seem to get dishes fully cleaned. We also noticed that anytime the stovetop was on it would make the smoke alarms go off (food was not burnt or smoky, it just happened immediately after turning the burners on) unless the stove vent fan was on which was kind of concerning. ”

“ if you need a place to stay and you have pets that come with you it’s a good place to stay! There is a fenced back yard (if there isn’t too much snow) which was awesome! The owners are very responsive and helpful! “Brockway Mountain is an incredible location with views to take the breath away. The house is situated in a uniquely beautiful spot with wonderful scenery above the trees and the lake. There is a trade-off between convenience and the incredible beauty and peace of mountain living. Visitors should be prepared for "off the grid" living; we stayed in September, and on cloudy days there was no solar power after sunset. There is a generator that adds power but it is very noisy; a quieter generator……
