“My family and I had a great time staying in Athens. The facilities allow for a host of activities such as getting out on the lake or going for a dip in a heated pool. The lake itself is much bigger than I had anticipated. The layout of the house works well and the basement was a great gathering spot especially on rainy days. The owner was accessible and invested in our comfort in his home. Renters should understand, however, that the primary bedroom is in a loft, with no shades or drapes to cover the windows. “This was our second stay at this house. For being a somewhat smaller house, it has all your need for a ski weekend. Our family of 6 did just fine with sleeping arrangements and amenities to cook meals and just relax. It’s so close to the hunter downtown area and ski area. Very convenient. ”

“Everything on the property was exactly as described and better. My adult siblings and I have been renting ski homes for the past 18 years and I can honestly say that this was the nicest home we have stayed in. Well equipped with everything you would need and stocked well with garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. The kitchen cabinets were all labeled which made things easier to find and return to their proper places. “Well-appointed VRBO that my family absolutely loved. Kids did not want to leave. Takes about 10 min to get to Windham when the weather is good, about 15 min in inclement weather. We had a four-wheel drive vehicle so had no issues with the driveway but with a normal car it could be tricky if it's snowing or icy. Highly recommended! ”

“We very much enjoyed our time spent at Eagles Nest playing pickleball, ping pong, time at the pool and using the various boating equipment.
