“It's a nice townhouse on the lake, can't really complain much about that. A few things to note. The downstairs bedroom is really cold (winter season of course) so you must be willing to keep a fire going if you want to stay down there. Also, the two queen beds felt more like full size beds to my wife and I. Smith Mountain Lake is a beautiful area, but be warned to get in out of of the area to other locations you will need to travel 15 minutes on very winding roads. And finally, there was a lack……

“Our host, Missy saw how many people were staying with us, and upgraded us to her larger property with a second bathroom at no extra cost. She was such a thoughtful host and we had a great stay! My kids loved the park across the street!”

“This was such a welcoming booking from day one. I cannot praise our stay enough. If you want a camping trip, this is your spot. You need not bring anything but what you're planning to eat. Your hosts really have thought of everything. All you have to bring is your food and drinks. Coffee, filters, and water is already there. If your backs aren't compatible with Adirondack chairs, definitely bring your own.I don't know how I got so lucky. Someone is always on hand to help. And the sparkly……

“We found a true gem when we booked the Riverbend Cabin. Beautiful and peaceful with preserved nature and wildlife to explore with the girls before and after our daily excursions. We all had a great time. ”

“We enjoyed the house and really appreciated the responsiveness of the host. While the location is between a small road and train tracks, it wasn’t overly distracting or loud. The access to the water was unobstructed and relaxing. The master bed was probably the most comfortable that I’ve ever slept in away from home, with quality bedding and mattress. The property was also great for our dog, with a contained back yard and front porch. Definitely recommend! ”

“This host did not issue refund. I did not stay & cancelled within time frame through VRBO assistance. VRBO contacted host & asked them to issue a refund & host refused. This “HOTEL” should clearly Not be on VRBO”

“Ours was just a quick trip, but we still were able to see Natural Bridge, the Safari Park, and spend a day hiking and on the river. The little cottage in the woods had everything we needed and we are already talking about returning in a different season.”

“My family and I had a wonderful stay! We loved the sunrise out our window that filled the kitchen with so much Joy! The kids loved the huge playground across the quiet cul de sac street. Hubby and I enjoyed the walking trails right next to the home. I would highly recommend this Beautiful home to anyone traveling. Amazing and kind host! If I could give more than 5 Stars I would!!!!!”
