“Despite the record heat, the AC kept the cabin cool and the lake was a great way to cool off outside. Loved the historic but well equipped kitchen. The only comment would be there is no internet or cell service. But for me that is a plus.”

Nice trails to walk through the property, rocks that are amazing. Then just down the road is a creek you can explore, cold fresh water, lots of next rocks.One of the best trips I’ve done in a couple of years. ”

“The overall property of 5 cabins could do with a bit of a tidy up, around the cabins especially. Our cabin was no 1. Whilst comfortable except for the bed, I do not think a double bunk bed is for us! Not much room to put 2 suitcases. Furniture could do with update. Kitchen very good. The TV would not work we reported this on the first day, did not hear back. ”

“We were looking for a place to stay on a fall vacation/grouse hunting trip, the cabin was awesome. New construction, very spacious house with all amenities including great wifi. Central location in the Phillips area. Just a really nice comfortable place to stay. We loved it.”

“We had a wonderful week at the Grouse Haus. The house is large and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked. The views out the window are beautiful. The lake is shallow by the pier so a large boat might not be able to dock but it's perfect for launching kayaks or canoes. the lake is quite large and the Elk River is beautiful. we really enjoyed kayaking and exploring the river and inlets on the lake. “Perfect spot for a weekend getaway. The cabin was just feet from the water with plenty of water and camping activities available free of charge such as paddle boards, fire pits and paddle boats. All staff on site were incredibly helpful and constantly helped make our stay as memorable as possible. The nearby town had great entertainment and bars within walking distance. Would definitely recommend and will be returning!”
