“It's not the Waldorf Astoria but that wasn't the intent. If you're looking for a clean friendly stay in a beautifully walkable setting this is it. Apart from the somewhat dated accomodations (hey, it was a tad rustic but it evoked pleasant feelings of nostalgia for this 60-something boomer) I couldn't have asked for a quiter room nestled on the shore of a beautiful lake (well, reservoir) and park. Plus we had the added benefit of being there outside of the tourist season. I'll be back.”

“The house set in the middle of mostly pine trees provided much quietness and relaxation. The hot tub was perfect after our long days of hiking. The kitchen was well stocked with the necessary cooking and dining supplies. The house was large enough that 8 adults were never in each other’s way. The only downside to our visit was that our destinations either to the various tourist areas or to the closest town for groceries took minimally 30 minutes, so one needs to plan accordingly. “Our family of 5 stayed a few nights as we discovered and explored the Black Hills. It was the perfect place to start and end our days. Our youngest loved the swing set. Our older 2 loved the bunk bed. The king bed was very comfortable. The hosts were super responsive to any questions, but answered most before we even asked them with their welcome note. Thank you!”
