“Very pleased with our stay overall. The only downside was that there was construction going on which was kind of loud at times. When I made the reservation it had said the construction would be done by the time we went, so we were not expecting that. ”

“When we got there, the trash bin was dirty and there was a tea bag in the coffee maker. Looks disgusting! ”

“Really cute little boutique hotel in the middle of Athens, very near Ohio University. It was a Friday night and college kids were out having fun, so it was a little noisy late at night. Otherwise, it's a great little property. Only disappointment was in the breakfast but then most hotel breakfasts aren't great.”

“The Lafayette is a very nice older hotel. It's in great condition, and the room's are quite comfortable. Bathroom was a bit narrow, but nice high ceilings. Great old world decor that we really enjoyed. Breakfast at the Gunroom was also good and quite reasonable. Only complaint is that our room faced Front Street; we stayed on a Friday night, and there was a bar across the street that was quite noisy well into the night. If we stay again, will ask for a room facing the river.”

“The room had a small chair and tray table and I would have preferred a chaise as I have had previously ”

“Pretty outside of building but inside our room the bathroom ceiling was falling down, the floor cracked when we stepped on it and it smelled a bit like smoke. However the beds sheets and pillows were great and the air conditioner and fridge worked exceptionally well. ”
