“Great place to stay especially if you are visiting the Dairy Barn. Clean, friendly staff and good food”

“Beautiful building. Staff was superb and incredibly kind. Not as busy downtown as we imagined, but this is likely due to visiting before summer festivities get started. Bathroom is updated and absolutely wonderful; robes are sublime. Dog friendly and area is walkable. Area feels safe for walking. ”

“The Lafayette is a very nice older hotel. It's in great condition, and the room's are quite comfortable. Bathroom was a bit narrow, but nice high ceilings. Great old world decor that we really enjoyed. Breakfast at the Gunroom was also good and quite reasonable. Only complaint is that our room faced Front Street; we stayed on a Friday night, and there was a bar across the street that was quite noisy well into the night. If we stay again, will ask for a room facing the river.”

“Renovated room. Extremely bright and clean. Bed is very comfortable. Linens are fresh and new. Third time I have stayed here. Will stay again If I am in the area. ”

“Really cute little boutique hotel in the middle of Athens, very near Ohio University. It was a Friday night and college kids were out having fun, so it was a little noisy late at night. Otherwise, it's a great little property. Only disappointment was in the breakfast but then most hotel breakfasts aren't great.”

“Stayed in the Riley Suite. First time in a boutique hotel and I was floored with the atmosphere of this place. Huge bonus was the on-site restaurant/bar “Galley” which was absolute class. ”

“The only reason for my stay is that it was night and I couldn't see the road in the thunderstorm. If there hadn't been a power outage, I would have chosen one of the other hotels next door. After checking in, I noticed this property used to belong to another company. It has not been renovated at all. The carpets are nasty. While the sheets and towels are dingy and some have stains, they did smell clean so at least they arè trying. I hope someone will see this and help the owners bring this……

“I was a little hesitant when I booked this room but took a chance. I appreciated that they did not price gouge like most of the other area hotels on an OU "special" weekend. No frills but it met our needs. Super close to campus. Very clean, polite and attentive staff. It is not fancy. The beds were very firm which I liked. If you're just looking for a place to sleep, it fits the bill. I would not be opposed to staying again. We were grateful to find this room on Mom's Weekend!”
