“The positioning of the lodge is its defining freaturr as the views are spectacular and available from every room and the main building. The quality of the food was high with a set menu and 'fine dining' feel. The track up to the lodge is steep and a 4x4 is needed if you don't take the lodge's lift. The activities offered are a little limited and at the upper end of the prices of other lodges. The overall value for money is less than some lodges, but if you like views it's worth it.”

“A lovely, peaceful place to stay. Corné was very attentive, and we enjoyed talking to him about Namibia. Wildlife came close to our lodge. Meals were very tasty and wholesome. We opted for a barbecue on the hilltop at sundown. It was beautifully set up for our evening, and we had good food and conversation with Corné and Cindy. We felt very well looked after.”

“Positives: Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, sehr gutes Abendessen (Buffet mit Barbecue und hervorragendem Fleisch), Pool zum Abkühlen, sehr freundliches Personal und allgemein sehr sauber. Negatives: Warmwasseraufbereitung erfolgt mit über dem Gelände verteilten Kupferboilern, unter denen ab Nachmittag ein Holzfeuer entfacht wird. Das führt dazu, dass es überall auf dem Gelände nach Rauch riecht. Insbesondere auch in den Zimmer ist der Rauch deutlich wahrnehmbar (egal ob Fenster offen oder zu).……

“Die beste Unterkunft unseres Namibiaurlaubs. Marianna und Piet waren sehr herzliche Gastgeber, die alles für das Wohlergehen meiner Freundin und mir gegeben haben. Das inkludierte Frühstück und Abendessen fiel sehr reichhaltig aus und war absolut lecker (ihr solltet nach dem Kürbis in Zucker fragen!!!). Das Gasthaus ist eine Oase in der zur Zeit sehr trockenen Gegend, die voller Charme und Erinnerungen steckt. Für Exkursionen jeglicher Art kann ebenfalls gesorgt werden.”

“The worst thing was that Wotif sold me accommodation that did not exist. For a group of ten, that was a problem. The staff were very helpful in sorting something else. Wotif was a near disaster. Property has moved and is under construction. Taking tht into account, it was excellent. We had dinner. We had two people who were gluten free and told them. Part of dinner was not gluten free, but they did then prepare something appropriate.”
