“We didn’t stay. We when arrived, instead of a room in the guest house, we were expected to stay in a tentlike structure. In addition, the bathroom facilities were outdoor showers and commodes that required a climb up a set of stairs. Luckily we were able to secure a room at another facility. The owner supposedly requested a refund for me but I haven’t heard whether this has been approved.”

“We have enjoyed this property each of the past two years for our family gathering. One of the best places we have stayed. Clean, spacious, well stocked and great communication with the owner. We will keep coming back”

“Loved the room and the extras that was provided for us such as the coffee and hot chocolate. Areas were clean and well supplied. The only down fall was not communicating how to get to the guest room and where the lighting leading to area was. Sad the fireplace was down but loved that a replacement heater was provided. ”

“You could tell from setting foot on the property how clean our host kept the place. Communication with the host was great, and he was very friendly and responsive. “We had a multi-generational family vacation at this property. The grandkids loved the pool. We had several questions and the owner was prompt to respond and address an issue or two (nothing major). We enjoyed our time at the house. It was a very quiet neighborhood, yet close to several restaurants, etc. We traveled into DC most days - and with traffic and construction - it was about 35-40 minutes to get to where we wanted to go. We enjoyed our vacation very much!”

“So, we did not actually end up staying at the property. We booked on an emergency basis (for my father's funeral) for nine people and did not look at reviews first. Big mistake. When we noticed the previous bad reviews, we contacted VRBO and were told we could not cancel but could take pictures and call the support team if the property was unacceptable. Which it was. We documented the dirty pool (the owners insist it is *stained*, not dirty, but either way it looks unappealing to swim in and did……

“We really enjoyed our stay! The property was just what we needed, and the host was very accommodating—allowing us to check in early, which was immensely appreciated after a long drive. There are a lot of stairs, but we considered it our vacation workout! Would definitely stay again!”

“Booked two nights at this property. No communication from the host whatsoever. Drove 2 1/2 hours to the house only to find out after contacting VRBO customer service that the host had no intention of renting the property. They never cancelled the booking or reached out to let us know. Thankfully VRBO refunded us but we were forced to find last minute housing ourselves. Very disappointing to say the least. Trip nearly ruined due to lack of communication by the host.”
