“Spent a week at Loon Lodge for a family vacation. We had a great time kayaking, swimming, and hanging out by the water. The house had everything we needed--plenty of bath and beach towels, lots of floats and a lily pad mat, and fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Our teens liked having their own space in the bunkhouse. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing, but close to town for necessities or a meal out. We also rented a boat and it was a very easy process. Sara was very easy to communicate……

“We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at the cottage. It was stocked with everything we needed. We were able to cook and eat all of our meals there all weekend. The extra bedroom behind the house was perfect for our teenagers. We all loved it!”

“This property is one of the best places we have ever stayed, and this was our 3rd time back! The cabin itself is well maintained and meticulously clean. It had everything we need, including coffee! There is a telescope in the Sun porch for viewing bald eagles and other wildlife, there is a ton of space in the walk out basement for our young adult kids to play games and hang out after spending a day on the water. We kayaked and canoed every day. The owners and property manager are very responsive……

“Alan and Louise were fantastic hosts. I emailed Alan right after booking this rental property, asking about possibly getting an earlier check-in time than 3 pm. I explained that we were coming from 6 hours away to play in the Cherry Capital Showdown Softball tournament in Traverse City, and we had to be at the fields by 4pm to be ready to play by 5:30 pm. He agreed and gave us a 1pm check-in time. On our way up to the house I received a phone call from Alan, making sure we were still coming.……

“We had our family of 6 (4 teens) over the 4th of July week. House is exactly as described. Loved having the extra bedroom and bathroom attached by breezeway. Kids enjoyed the main house while we had our own place. We rented a boat and were able to attach to mooring ball close to dock. Beach area was perfect. The house really has everything you can ask for.”

“Very nice, updated property. The home met all of our needs and we enjoyed the access to the water. There was an issue with the heat and property manager and owner acted immediately and remained in constant contact with us which we really appreciated. I recommend more pictures and decorations throughout to give the house a homier vibe. We would stay again.”
