“ We absolutely loved our time at Escape lake house in Maine! The setting was gorgeous and cannot be beat. The view is never the same and we loved watching the changing light on the water. The house is as described in the listing and the primary bedroom and bathroom are great. Note that one of the “bathrooms” is actually in a side entry room with the washer/dryer and extra stove, and is not super private. Also, 2 of the showers are very small stand-up showers. But, that said, for just 2 of us,……

“There aren’t enough good words to describe this house: amazing, beautiful, stunning, perfection, spotless… and more. It started walking in and finding a basket of freshly made popovers, a jar of Maine blueberry jam, and a card with our names on it with a handwritten note from the host welcoming us.There is a 12-14 page binder with everything about the house such as how to operate appliances, the weekly generator test time, local grocery stores, restaurants, and any other detail you could think……

“My family had a wonderful stay in this house. Between hiking in the Schoodic Peninsula, visiting Bar Harbor, and soaking up the view from Cadillac Mountain, we loved swinging on the porch swing, having coffee on the front porch, and relaxing around the dinner table. The house is recently renovated, clean, and in a quiet neighborhood. The hosts are invested in your stay and very responsive to any messages you send. There are restaurants, gas stations, and grocery stores all close by - be sure……

A terrific place to come back to after a rainy day hike. We watched movies, played games, completed jigsaw puzzles, all courtesy of the thoughtfulness of the home owner. A wonderful, charming home. Great place to stay when you want to be able to enjoy Acadia and Bar Harbor but also want peace and quiet. Definitely would recommend to anyone.”

The relaxing views and quietness of the location was just what we were looking for. It is an easy drive to Acadia National Park and BarHarbor for shopping and dining. We would love to stay again.”
