“What is not to love about being welcomed into Richard and Ruth’s home. They are wonderful hosts and spent hours talking to us both during our stay. The house is an amazing building and learning about its history was wonderful. We walked into the tiny town and got some dinner, lovely options available. We can not wait to visit again and will be recommending anyone travelling around this area should certainly book a stay.”

“Wonderful B&B! My husband and I took our two daughters (ages 3 and 1) to Magic Wings and wanted to make it a fun overnight trip. The Black Walnut room #7 was excellent, large and clean with 2 double beds (we brought our own Pack n Play). “Very historical hotel, a bit spooky on hallway and many strange/noisy sounds in the room. The floor was bumpy. I forgot a power charger in the hotel, but the hotel refused to help me got it back in the same day and just said it’s not found. No matter how I will never come back again. ”

“I was very surprised upon arrival how kept the place was. The room had all the heat needed. The most shocking was how hot the water was. I paid for most expensive hotels, and the water was hot like this place. It was pleasant to meet the manager, who went out his way, to make sure i could get a early check-in, during the upcoming snow storm. Thanks for the stay. ”

“The property is pretty impressive. You actually feel like you are entering an old Nordic village. It’s not cheesy, it’s very authentic. The cabin was really cozy and delightful. Loved the fireplace. The male owner was very kind and accommodating. My only complaint is that at 11:00 on the nose someone knocked on my door to check out. I was literally on my way out. “This is a great venue. It is affordably priced, conveniently located, artfully maintained in accordance with it original style (wooden floors and picket rail porch, antique furniture, etc.). I felt unique and pampered in my room. I even heard a train whistle nearby in the early wee hours of the morning, reassuring and comforting rather than disturbing. I hope to return for a longer stay.”
