“This is a great venue. It is affordably priced, conveniently located, artfully maintained in accordance with it original style (wooden floors and picket rail porch, antique furniture, etc.). I felt unique and pampered in my room. I even heard a train whistle nearby in the early wee hours of the morning, reassuring and comforting rather than disturbing. I hope to return for a longer stay.”

“Wonderful B&B! My husband and I took our two daughters (ages 3 and 1) to Magic Wings and wanted to make it a fun overnight trip. The Black Walnut room #7 was excellent, large and clean with 2 double beds (we brought our own Pack n Play). “I was very surprised upon arrival how kept the place was. The room had all the heat needed. The most shocking was how hot the water was. I paid for most expensive hotels, and the water was hot like this place. It was pleasant to meet the manager, who went out his way, to make sure i could get a early check-in, during the upcoming snow storm. Thanks for the stay. ”

“Lots of things were lovely; fantastic room service food (unbelievably fresh and delicious, better than anywhere I’ve ever eaten in a hotel while traveling), beautiful serene natural setting, and wonderful design of the buildings plus COOKIES and tea in the afternoon. The service was also fantastic. The paint could use freshening and the bathroom grout needs redoing (or consider retiling). “Staff was accommodating and helpful. Room was basic, but that was expected due to the age of the building. Clean and sanitized, but definitely needed some “deep” cleaning, like dusting baseboards and taking marks off walls. Overall a good experience and in a great location. Would visit again!”
