“Very friendly place, very busy in bar area but accommodation separate (& quiet 😊👍)… enjoyed looking round the bar area after breakfast next day, lots of interesting items/photos etc and nice to be away from the ‘corporate’ feel that most hotels seem to have these days. I’m sure we’ll be back.”

“Beautifully presented, stylish property and very comfortable. Nicely situated on the High Street for all local pubs and restaurants. Check in and checkout were super easy. Hughly recommended for a stay in Maldon.”

“I liked all things about the property , plenty of choice at breakfast , could do with decorating, cleaning , dead fly on dinning room window sill 3 days running . Plenty of clean towels , tea/milk replenished when asked. But pillows were awful ! Lumpy , need replacing.”

“Very central and close to many eating places . Hardly any hotel parking , but luckily found somewhere nearby . It’s barely a 2 star hotel. , and really does need money spent on it . However the restaurant staff had a lovely welcoming manner , and the breakfast was great.”

“Very nice comfortable room (room 57), very spacious, comfortable bed, and nicely designed bathroom. Parking was easy and convenient. Breakfast was lovely and the service was excellent. My only slight criticism was the bright green light on all night in the room which was distracting.”

“Arrival was confusing as trying to book in with the console was not easy, luckily there were staff available to do this. There is a ridiculous £2.50 parking charge given the place is in the midfle of nowhere, we were told it stops non residents parking there, given that i wasn't asked for my car registration I fail to see how that works. We were woken at 7.45 on the Sunday morning by an annoying throbbing news, when i spoke to someone in the reception area he told me he couldn't hear it and he……

“The staff were great! Very accommodating throughout the whole stay. There were some empty bottles and glass left in the corner of the hallway which were there throughout most of my stay, seems they had been left for the night staff to clean up. The pool area could do with family suitable changing area, there is nowhere for people with young children to change with ease. Breakfast was really good and displayed beautifully! ”

“Given the restrictions of a very old property (grade 2 listed) they have done a good job updating yet not spoiling. A charming and comfortable stay.”
