“If I had to find a criticism it would be for the glass door in bathroom in ground floor bedroom!! Nobody needs a glass door to the shower and toilet!!”

“Ideal location for Chatsworth and the Peaks and Dales. Have stayed here many times, and will stay again. Jane is a responsive host.”

“What a lovely property, perfect location right in the heart of the best walking country and beautifully positioned - less than a 10 minute walk between 3 gorgeous pubs. It’s a traditional building and has been refurbished very tastefully. Plenty of hot water, powerful shower, new kitchen and bathroom. The owners sent us all of the information we needed to make our arrival smooth and whole stay a pleasure. Highly recommend.”

“There was many things that were incredibly disappointing about this property. An hour before arriving we received a message to say the main bathroom toilet was blocked and they weren’t going to fix it before our stay, meaning the only toilets available were inside the 2 en-suite bathrooms. After arriving we found the house in what seemed to be mid construction. The kitchen was still covered in protective plastic, with cupboards without handles and a complete lack of cutlery, glasses and plates.……

“We loved our stay in Wirksworth. Such a lovely area for walking and cycling which we were after. The cottage was lovely. Very comfy beds, great sofa and fab log burner. Kitchen has everything you need. The shower is definitely small as the listing says. However i dont thjnk i realised how small - we managed (just) but this is the only negative in an other wise lovely stay. The village is also great, again with everything you need in terms of variety of places to eat and drink.”
