“Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price”

“We arrived at this cute home after 24 hours of travel. We were so exhausted and were going to go out to dinner but had zero energy. We realized the owner had left us some staple groceries including a loaf of bread, and jelly. I had packed a tub of peanut butter and some chips in my luggage so we had the best PBJs and relaxed! Bonus there was even a bottle of wine in the fridge :) The view around the back was spectacular.”

“We had a wedding nearby.We were allowed in slightly earlier which was very helpful as we needed to be at the wedding at 2:30 and had to get changed before hand.The house was very well equipped and dealing with the owner has been very easy”

“This large and beautiful home with a separate space was very clean and has spectacular views of Lake Rotorua. The house is located off a main road - with some noise from large trucks (felt some vibrations to the house unless it was due to small area/geothermal tremors?) The garden of wisdom is absolutely amazing and worth the walk up and down to the lake. We were able to use the kayaks for a small time frame and wish there were beach towels available for use as we had to use our own bath towels……

“We had such a great stay at this house! It was super spacious and had a welcoming feel. There were plenty of games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained, which was a nice bonus. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and made us feel right at home. Kate was great with communication - clear instructions and quick to respond if we had any questions. Would definitely recommend and stay again!”
