“About 20 minutes to walking & colonial Williamsburg, 20 to Busch Gardens. Very clean. It was really warm when we arrived but cooled down well enough (the upstairs more effectively than the downstairs but both were pleasant). This is a Hilton run resort and it was a gorgeous property with lots to do on its campus (indoor pool, mini golf, walking grounds, gym, fishing, etc etc). The kitchens were well enough appointed. Make sure you bring salt and pepper as they weren't included with the "basics."……

“We were here to celebrate our 50th anniversary with our family. The double apartment was perfect for 3 couples & 3 grandchildren (21, 17, and 14). It was clean inside and out, had most of the kitchen equipment we needed, and lots of amenities. The kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed a round of mini golf. Staff was helpful and polite. Thanks for helping us have a great celebration!”

“The James River cottage is a quiet and peacful escape. The view of the river is very beautiful and relaxing. The cottage is very clean and neat with a great deck over looking the river. Its very comfortable for the three of us, and the location is perfect for visiting Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. We hope to return someday. ”

“We stayed here for spring break with our extended family. Everyone loved it! The views of the James River are wonderful. We saw a bald eagle fly over with a fish in its talons while we were sitting on the couch in the living room! Everyone had their own space but we could all hang out together in the common areas. The ferry is literally around the corner and getting over to Jamestown, Williamsburg, or Busch Gardens is easy peasy. The kitchen was well stocked and we ate most of our meals there.……

“The Red Juniper Retreat was a great find. We were in New Kent for the weekend of the Virginia Derby. The house is located in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood that is only 6 miles from Colonial Downs. The booking and all communication with Jazmin was top notch. She was very responsive and has literally thought of everything, from the welcome basket with the snacks, smore making kit and a bottle of wine, to all of the amenities for our dogs—beds, bowls, waste bags, gloves and a beautiful fenced……
