Bill was thorough with the check-in/check-out processes information. Very welcoming! We will definitely return! Rockford area was our home for over 30 years. It was so nice to be able to return with such a pleasant place to stay. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at Getaway Cabin! It was very peaceful and relaxing sitting by the river! Cabin was very clean and the beds were comfortable! Would highly recommend!!”

“Perfect location for me and my husband. Had plenty of room and an extra bedroom that we didn't use. Our second stay here and will use it again.”

“The property was more private than we were anticipating. Very quiet neighborhood on a dead end gravel road. The house has it's own dock and boat launch, which was not expected. We brought our fishing boat, so it was perfect! There were a lot of backup supplies that came in handy, also. The house is a bit dated, but we did not mind; it did not affect our experience at all. A couple critiques: consider putting curtains on the windows (especially the bedrooms.) There is central AC, but the bedrooms……

“This was a good place to stay. Beds were comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms stocked with supplies. The steps to the unit needed to be cleaned better. A couple of convenient outlets need to be fixed to work.”

“Great location. Plenty of parking. Right on the Rock River. Very clean. Lots of outside seating on the decks. Lots of towels, though we couldn’t find them at first. They were in the dining room credenza. The house is pretty well stocked with supplies. The host is very friendly and responsive. Would stay there again.”

“We comfortably had 10 people sleeping here. Rooms were bigger than they appeared in the pictures giving us plenty of space in the bedrooms and the living room. The basement area with a bedroom and full bath was huge. Neighborhood was very quiet. Great house for a family get together. ”

“House was clean, beds were good, bathroom clean and well stocked. Had a fan in the basement which I’m happy for hubby forgot his. Easy check in and out. Thank you for a nice weekend!”
