It requires a walk up ~40 steep steps but once on top, your are in a beautiful valley with wildlife and jungle sounds. Accommodations are basic but sufficient, if you are looking for an experience more like Dominica than a luxury hotel, Berkey's place is fine. Access to the property is straightforward and……

“Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. Our favourite was the weekday driver. The cottage had a very nice kitchen unfortunately not much utensils in it... Being so……

“Stayed here for 4 nights, the cabin is very interesting. It is in the lovely garden of the owners, a little bit outside of the main street in Calibishie, so better to have a car. The kitchen is great, bathroom also, however there is no airconditioning. The view is awesome from the hammock and terrace. The owners are very nice and friendly. Thanks!”
