“Lovely quiet location just outside of busy Sarlat owned by a welcoming couple. Access to the yard, the deck, and a kitchen area for guests is all lovely! Quick drive into the old ville for restaurants etc but nice to retreat to the quiet surroundings of La Bayardine. Wonderful breakfast on the terrasse!”

“We found this gem on our way south and so glad we stayed. The couple who hosted us were so kind and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful. The view from the pool was incredible. It is a quiet town so there’s not much around but the city of Sarlat was wonderful. Sunday market is a must! ”

“This is a charming and elegant facility with a friendly, helpful proprietor who went out of his way to provide a comfortable and pleasant stay. A couple with two to four children would feel like a royal family here. Low-to-the-floor beds and lack of adequate storage space were a bit awkward for two older ladies in what would be the children's room. All in all, a delightful experience.”

“Nous étions venu chercher du repos, du calme et de la simplicité et nous sommes reparti en pleine forme! Le lieu est digne d'un beau site périgourdin, les hôtes sont très respectueuses et présentes à la fois, toujours prêtes à aider. “Monique and Willem were perfect hosts at Les Rocailles and were very hospitable. We ate two evening meals there which were really fantastic! Gourmet level food, cooked by Willem, at a very reasonable cost. Our room was very clean and in a lovely setting in the grounds of the hotel. We would definitely recommend a stay there and also make sure to try Willem's food. ”
