“The VRBA was clean and in a very good location. Unfortunately, the mattress was completely worn out which resulted in poor sleeping for 4 nights straight. I would have given 5-star rating if the mattress was decent.”

“Julia was a wonderful host. The 0North (annex with two suites) was furnished with stylish modern / Scandanavian decor. Comfy bed. Great downtown location! Free off street parking. Small kitchen was well stocked with a delicious selection of light snacks and beverages. The only down side would be the narrow steep flight of stairs that would make the 0North suites non-accessible for anyone with mobility challenges. Would definitely stay here if we are ever in Anchorage again.”

“Loved the decor. It is a cozy, basement apartment in a convenient midtown’location. The shower is amazing and the dual sink bathroom roomy. There is easy access street parking, hard to find in Anchorage. On a dead end street so no traffic. Responsive hosts. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes/glasses/pans and there is great gas oven/stove. As disclosed there is noise from apartment upstairs and a dorm size fridge. We frequent Anchorage and will keep this gem on our list.”

“When we arrived late at night after a long flight we were met at the door by a man that told us the hotel was closed for renovations. What a shock to find out you don't have a hotel rooom in the middle of high season. He said someone should have called us to let us know. We did not get that call. He said we could go across the street to the Captain Hook Hotel for a room, which is owned by the same owner. We went there and they offered us a room for a higher rate than I had booked at the……

“We loved staying here. We had one other family that we shared the living room and kitchen with, but we each had out own private bathrooms, and they had their own family room in their room. We only really saw each other during meals. We chose to go out for breakfasts and all-day excursions, but cooked dinner at the room. The host also let us use his grill and charcoal. Super nice guy and very accommodating to any of our requests! The place was hot to us, so we adjusted the thermostat, but when……
