“Nice place in a cute village. We had problems with our door code at check in but the owners responded quickly and it was fixed. We didn't have time to explore the facilities, but the property was cute. The only improvement would be the bed. We liked the mattress itself, but it was sloped down at the head. We would stay here again.”

The kids loved the pool, ping pong, and the fact that the lodge has tons of movies to checkout from the front desk. As parents we loved the amazing view and that we could make it own food for some picky eaters.”

It is very close to the park (maybe a mile or 2 outside the north entrance), is super spacious, and the views are unbeatable for morning coffee or star gazing or a fire in the fire pit. We knew how to get to and from the place within the first visit without directions. It's isolated so you don't have to worry about noise or safety and it's perfect for a large group. “This is our 2nd stay at Alton Lodge. We loved it last year so returned this year. In addition to the lodge with 9 bedrooms, (most with lofts & extra sleeping space) and bathrooms, there are 2 separate apartments on location which we also rented giving us 11 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. They don't skimp on things like paper towels and toilet paper. Tons of pots, pans, crockpot, cookie sheets, muffin pans, rice cooker instapot, etc. 2 large BBQ grills behind the lodge.
