“The property is wonderful. The views are great and it is nice to be so close to the river. The landscaping is also really pretty. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you could need. Though the house itself is a little run down, it is very comfortable and inviting. The biggest issue we had was that the water sometimes came out in only a little more than a trickle, making it harder to wash dishes, shower, etc. It did always work though, so as long as you have some patience for that……

“We had an enjoyable time at Bowman’s Beach Cottage. The neighborhood was very pleasant, we enjoyed our morning coffee while sitting on the beach, and the view of the river and mountains was beautiful!”

“The location was perfect as our daughter lives in the neighborhood and it was an easy commute to their place. The Blue Saucer on the corner of Roosevelt and 92nd is a great little coffee shop”

“We really enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Kitchen supplies are a little spartan but still handy. There is a full-size stove, microwave, Coffee machine, toaster, 3-4 small to medium skillets, a saucepan, strainer, cutting boards, one mixing and one serving bowl, basic cooking utensils, and dishes/cutlery for two. (My list of supplies might not be comprehensive). There is also a Brita water pitcher but I think it has not been used in a while because there was mildew growing on the bottom……

“Very cute, quaint, unique place to stay with interesting decor and a lovely view from the top of a hill. The kitchen is very well stocked and everything is clearly labeled. We really enjoyed the wood fireplace! Parking seems tricky at first, but there's actually plenty of street parking. Neighborhood is very walkable with lots of good restaurants and shops. We recommend a trip to the cat cafe!”

“Yeon and Javier were amazing hosts! They greeted us upon arrival and checked in to make sure we were all set. The adorable cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. The local wine and Theo chocolate was a thoughtful host gift. We enjoyed the courtyard and lovely gardens and the area was walkable to several parks/beaches/restaurants and on street parking was easy. We'll be back for sure!”

“A step back in time as the property has an historical feel so appropriate for Ballard. Definitely a charmer with gracious hosts. Loved the fresh flowers and seltzer water in the frig. Private little back garden made morning coffee even better”

“This is an awesome place. Comfortable beds, of special note is a great sofa bed, very well stocked (including snacks and coffee), clean, owner communication easy and timely. Would definitely stay here again! ”
