“It's a nice property in a quite and peaceful setting. We had two adult couples, and found that there was room for all of us. The folding table leafs in the family room and kitchen were a nice addition for utilizing space. Since we were meeting friends at another lake property while in town, we didn't take advantage of the lake front features.”

“Great little cabin for a small family, had toys for our daughter to use and water toys for adults to use too. Super private and was close to enough to a store to run for something if we forgot something. Definitely recommend for a weekend getaway!”

“We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean and ready for us to settle in. There were plenty of bath towels, hand soap, dish soap, etc. The beds were comfortable and there were good amenities. Kitchen was well stocked. I'd recommend adding a cheese grater and measuring spoons though. :) There is a loft with 4 beds and a couple of couches. Great place for kids to hang. We loved the enclosed porch that faced the lake. Thanks! We'll be back!”

“Great location and view. Cozy cottage! Clean and beautiful view. ”

“The lake view was perfect. We could see occasional boaters (speed, pontoon, canoe) but motors never intruded. We were visited daily by a large pelican slowly paddling by and a group of Canadian geese (4 adults, 5 goslings) on the shoreline, and a black squirrel. The cabin was furnished with many added features (TV, grilling and fire pit items, kitchen supplies, comfy beds and towels).My friend and I were celebrating her retirement and we wanted a quiet retreat to relax by the water, read, play……

“Cowdry cabin and Hut worked perfectly for two couples getting away.The cabin to water proximity is perfect and flat.Plenty of and varied outdoor chairs to choose from and the lake is the show. Morning dancing dragonflies, loons and ducks, and spectacular sunsets.Cabin is charming and comfortable, plenty of space to spread out to read and relax or get together for meals and cards.I recommend to others looking for an Alexandria lake front stay. “We had a great long weekend in July 2025.PROS - Kitchen is great. Air conditioning is strong in the main room. Beds were comfortable, plenty of sleeping room. Main level master is plenty spacious. The 2 upstairs bedrooms have queen bunks - queen top and bottom. Bathrooms had body wash and shampoo. Plenty of towels were available. Indoor rocking chairs were comfy, along with the sectional.
