“Clean, comfortable, nice location. Thoughtful little extras”

“The four of us had a wonderful stay in Dunkeld Cottage. The stone cottage was lovely - though the two tall men had to learn to duck at the kitchen door! The living spaces and bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen was fantastic, with top-quality Siemens stove top and oven, a good dishwasher and much appreciated washer and dryer. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils to make cooking easy. There was salt, pepper, sugar and tea. The shower had good water pressure and……

“We really enjoyed staying here, lots of room, nicely updated house, all the amenities that we could need were available, and incredibly nice host! So close to the Lake District, easy to get to the hikes and lakes and cute little villages. Loved staying here and would definitely stay again when we come back. ”

The house is stunning, finished to a really high standard and the gardens are the same. The hosts were fantastic, great communication from start to finish and really friendly. Everything had been thought of, plenty to entertain adults and children of all ages. We hope to be back agai”

“Fantastic little space to stay in as a base while exploring the local area The pods have hot water and heating along with basic cooking facilities A good but compact shower and bathroom Nice comfy bed and a nice sofa to relax upon (a little low for me but it's fine) and a marvelous view outside the main doors My only recommendation is to pack light”

“It's a beautiful area with stunning scenery just a short drive away. The house itself has so much character with a lovely large kitchen/dining area and big lounge. The garden is beautiful too - quiet and enclosed. We loved that you could walk to Kirkby Stephen over Frank's Bridge, which we did quite often. All in all, we had a lovely weekend.”

“We had a lovely comfortable stay in this house. Very clean, warm, with amazing views. The road to the house takes about 10 minutes to drive up off the main road, with 3 or so gates to open and shut, but that does not really detract from the house. Lovely stay, thank you. ”

Nothing except a playground in the village of Warcop. 5 miles to Appleby in one direction. Kirby Stephen in the other. Lovely countryside.”
