“I enjoyed my stay here so much. The cottage is cozy with a touch of luxury, perfect in its intentional simplicity. You can tell that a lot of care has gone in to everything here. It was a pleasure to sit by the stream, check out the sauna, say hello to the farm animals and meet the kind hosts. Everything just felt peaceful and fresh. “We were there when it was snowing and later in the weekend when it was sunshiny and warm. We lit a fire in the wood burning stove and walked outside and enjoyed the labyrinth. We heard the coyotes yip and watched the hawks fly over the bluff. We braked for turkeys and deer. We also made the short trek into Red Wing for serious shopping and spent time at Lena’s. In short we loved it all!”

“The cottage was very cute and well stocked with pots and pans and spices if you want to cook. The snacks and water were very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable. We didn’t mind the sound of the trains at night but the blowing train whistle woke us a few times. There are ear plugs there if needed. Unfortunately the lake was over grown with vegetation so we didn’t kayak, but we brought our own bikes and rode the Cannon Falls trail in MN. The trail was beautiful. The owner……

“Girls' trip for 4 women of a certain age... we were able to spread out and each had a separate sleeping space, although some spots required a bit of a walk down the outside stairs or a walk through another bedroom to reach a bathroom. It worked great for us, though. Beds and linens all top quality, many extra blankets and pillows available. The kitchen was amazing! Beautiful, functional, and well stocked with utensils and cooking items. My friend Ruth only suggests a garlic press be added to the……

“the host was wonderful and helped us last minute! the home was beautiful and clean, had everything we needed and more. i’d stay here again anytime!”

“It had a nice feel to the place, rooms were hot there is no central ac. there is an ac unit but it only made the living room cold. I did not like that you get charged a fee for cleaning but still have to clean. Area is great and quiet but a ton of mosquitoes so bring off. The bathroom is between the two rooms but did not have locks so it’s hard to know when someone is in there. The beach was small but nice kids enjoyed that. Did not like that you are not allowed to smoke outside on the property……
