“My granddaughter and I stayed one night recently when we came to see Laura Ignalls birthplace. The tiny Alden house was perfect for us. It was clean, bed was comfortable and what I always like it had a ceiling fan.Chuck,Elan, Oscar and the chickens were great hosts. “Cute cozy cottage in a peaceful neighborhood. Grandparents and young kids both enjoyed it!”

“Host communicated well, made the process very easy. The home is older and it’s a little loud sitting between RR tracks and main thoroughfare. It wasn’t fancy but served our purpose well. ”

“Overall super impressed with the beauty of this home on the Mississippi (aka Lake Pepin). Gorgeous views, tons of birds, river/lake activity to watch, peaceful settings on either side of the home to enjoy outside...except trains. Lots of them. Because of where the home sits in relation to the town of Maiden Rock, the horn blows RIGHT at this location. “This cottage was the perfect place for my family to spend a few days away. The house has everything you need to make it feel like a home away from home. We loved that everything was an easy drive to lots of different small towns. Plenty to enjoy at the cottage with the fire pit, hot tub, and beautiful property for fishing or just relaxing. We would make this our first pick if we stay in the area again! ”
