“Being a new boutique style hotel in the Amalfi Coast region we thought we would try something that with a rental vehicle would be central enough to do day trips to Amalfi, Sorento and Positano. All are within 30-45min drive which in this area is a massive for a travelling family on a budget and doesnt want to deal with the chaos of getting in and out of only 1 of these coastal towns. The location is secluded and peaceful. The staff were extremely hospitable and the rooms were modern and spacious……

“We booked a spa room with a corner balcony which had spectacular views. The staff were extremely attentive to every question and query. The General Manager went far beyond his duties especially when we were stuck in town a few times, managing to arrange prompt transport to our next destination. The breakfast was colourful, delicious and in a relaxed setting with each member greeting us warmly. The beds were comfortable and the room a nice size for a couple. “The family and staff at Hotel Villa Maria Pia were excelente and wonderful. We especially enjoyed swimming in the cave right below the villa. I recommend taking the walk to the marina and enjoying the scenery there as well. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. ”

“A beautifully renovated hotel and property; all of the staff were wonderful and made us very welcome. The views really are stunning and the terraced hotel takes full advantage at every floor of that view! It was the end of the season and so things were winding down which resulted in a few of the menu items being unavailable or missing a main ingredient —like a Niçoise salad without the listed tuna—or no available basil. These are quibbles though on what is a quiet peaceful retreat from what can……
