“If you want to unplug a bit and get away this is the place. Very clean cabins. Kitchen had everything you need. Nice sitting area outside with a grill. Very quiet and relaxing with the Yuba River right there. Staff were extremely nice. Our dogs our now depressed we came home. Pretty sure they thought it was our new home. ”

“Right across the street from the lake with gorgeous views from the kitchen table -- we fell in love with Donner Lake! The cabin was comfortable, but rustic as you'd expect for a mountain lake cabin (eg some damage to floors, janky interior doors, kitchen table wobbly). Dealing with Vacasa as a renter instead of an actual owner is always less personal and more commericalized ... eg they were happy to offer late check out, if we paid an additional fee$$ But overall we loved the location, there……

“This little cabin was in an ideal getaway spot close to hiking trails and perfectly situated in the mountains. Be aware that it is a mountain cabin. Everything works, and everything is clean, but it is a rustic. Specifically, there are tricks to getting a hot shower, but don't give up the water heater does work. They just did a whole bunch of improvements, and it made the cabin very comfortable. This is a mountain gem, and I couldn't recommend it more.”

“Everything was as described. Kitchenware was of high quality. It amused me to see the multitude of wine openers in one kitchen drawer. The steps going into the property was challenging for me. With the kitchen above the bedrooms was problematic if I wanted to sleep late. Luckily I’m not usually a late riser. The setting was spectacular. The outside furniture made it easy to enjoy it. The upper level was fun, though the contents of the boxed games were out of the boxes and jumbled together. That……

“We enjoyed our stay. Spacious lot in a quiet neighborhood. House clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Garage for car a plus! Deck with table and chairs was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon drinks, while surrounded by pine trees. Kitchen well stocked with everything needed for meal prep. Close location to excellent hiking, Old Town Truckee, Lake Tahoe area. We definitely plan to be back!”

“Baby bear’s cabin was exactly what my partner and I needed- 4 days of peaceful quiet and relaxation in the woods. The house was clean, quiet and romantic. Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway.”

“We enjoyed staying in this dog-friendly Tahoe Donner vacation home. It was comfortable and nicely apportioned. We really appreciated that all the windows and slider had operational screens and that there were free-standing fans available! Many of the homes we have rented have not had screens (to allow for afternoon cooling without attracting moths and mosquitos in). We also appreciated access to the garage to store our bikes safely. The only comment is the vacuum cleaner was non-functional -- it……

“Wonderful, peaceful getaway! Beautiful location right across from the lake with a close dock to go in kayaks and paddle boards. The hosts graciously let us use their canoe and other fun equipment. The kids could ride bikes in the street with very little traffic. We even had lots of wiffle ball games in the street too. It was a wonderful vacation! ”

“The house is super retro cute and a great location, near the Pub, beach, and ice cream. The only downside is that I'm a sensitive sleeper and got woken up a few times in the night by loud trucks or motorcycles coming down from the Pass, but it was minimal (and just me affected!). Highly recommend this place for a group of 4.”
