“This home was absolutely perfect for our family of 10 (6 adults, 4 kids) and we all agreed we hope we can stay there again next year! We’ve rented many Tahoe/Truckee cabins over the years and have never felt so impressed from the minute we walked in the door. The home is immaculately clean, tastefully furnished, with every possible amenity (beautiful chef’s kitchen, plenty of extra towels/linens). It has the perfect layout for a big family to spread out. “Very clean, big and open concept, which was amazing. Kitchen supplies out dated, one of the burners does not work on the stove, the toaster was sparking/very hazardous, not safe. The beds are not comfortable. ”

“Very nice house for family ski trip. Be aware that owner will request a photo of your driver's license. It is in the terms, but we missed that.”

“Really great long weekend location with reasonable rates. 2 queen beds were very comfortable. Cooking equipment and dinnerware were not fancy, but certainly adequate. Several extra pieces of sporting equipment (bike,, kayak) and big snow blower. Check in took a little longer as the instructions were a bit unclear and technology was a bit balky. That said, we got it cleared up with friendly help from the owner, Overall we would DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN!.”

“John’s place was beyond what we could have imagined. when we first arrived, there were deer lounging in the backyard. The house itself was very cozy with plenty of space to spread out when needed. The fireplace and windows are spectacular! I wish we had more time to be physically hanging out in the house, but for the short time we were able to be there, it was a very relaxing retreat.”

“My teenage daughter and I stayed in this house for a long weekend to go skiing at Sugarbowl. The house is really big and well equipped, with a lot of space for everybody. It was very clean and check in was the easiest I have ever experienced with a rental. We had some issues with the heating but the hosts were communicative and helpful. The price was amazing for this kind of house. We loved our stay and would return again anytime.”

“This cabin is great. It’s a very short drive to downtown Nevada city, maybe 10 min. It’s super cozy and the hot tub is fantastic. Very quiet and private. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the gas fireplace. There’s plenty of towels and extra sheets if needed. Yes, there’s bad cell service and the WiFi isn’t great but they definitely let you know that ahead of time. We were more than fine with that. The owner communication is great. I highly recommend!”

“We came to Nevada City to consider relocating and wanted to spend time in a neighborhood and found the property in a lovely location although a few minutes from the commercial district which we decided was a good thing. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating which made us feel welcome and want to return to the home again.”

“I loved it! It’s really close to palisades Tahoe. It was less than a minute drive (going from one parking lot to another). The room was well equipped with cooking supplies. I did not have to worry about the fire alarm going off when cooking because of how strong the vent worked! The shower is perfect for couples because there’s a shower head on both ends and each side can adjust the temp! Both bed and pull out couch was super comfy! ”

“Very pleasant 3-day stay at the lodge. The 1-bedroom apartment was nicely organized, very plenty of storage room, clean, comfortable. The kitchen contained all necessary appliances and utensils for our meals. Walkable, short distance to Funitel was a big plus, and made our schedule very flexible. Definitely would come back!”

“I liked the open part of the property we ate dinner with our friends that stayed in another cabin. Cabins were cute, I loved all the little details. Our tub was clogged that was a negative. Nice hike around the reservoir. Food options nearby were good but limited. ”
