“We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But……

“Precioso ,la atención la ubicación y el trato muy buenos”

“En general la casa Roja de Canduela está bien, tener en cuenta que por el tipo de edificación y por las paredes de piedra la limpieza no es buena, pero es lo esperado. Se echa de menos algo más de iluminación en la casa, y un poco más de potencia en la calefacción. El entorno es precioso, existen muchas zonas interesantes en lo alrededores para visitar, y si buscas tranquilidad la vas a encontrar.”

“This hotel was an overnight stop off between the coast of Asturias and Rioja. It was very affordable. It did not have the charm of the old buildings but everything we could wish for was there. The food was cheap and very good. The breakfast was enjoyable. The service was good. No complaints. Great Value for money”

“Eating in the shop was an experience! The staff were great, but the platter of meats was a bit overwhelming! Suggest you order a small one for your table, because the quantity is likely more than enough for two! Wonderful quality! You can always order more!”
