“Our stay was great. As it turned out we were upgraded to a larger unit because our original was still occupied. It was great, but one issue was the master bedroom had steps up to the bathroom. My husband is disabled and that was an issue. ”

“We had a wonderful girls weekend at the Peaceful Country Retreat with my best friend and her two daughters. The house was perfect and very spacious and lots to keep the kids entertained without having to leave the house for the weekend. We caught so many good size bass and enjoyed cooking out and enjoying the back porch and the scenery. Kelly was very responsive and helpful when needed we can't wait to come back! ”

“The problem with this rental is a lack of adequate heat. We arrived on a bitterly cold December night a few days before Christmas. Our two adult children stayed with my dad at his house in Goldthwaite and my husband and I rented this house for ourselves, A cold front had blown in. The temperature that night and for the next couple of nights would get down to around 12 degrees. The house was frigid and, to our dismay, there was no central heat. The listing had not indicated that there was only a……

“Melissa and Bob are the most gracious and helpful hosts. We spent 3 months there to escape our home state winter. Acres of land to explore. Great bass fishing. The dogs are very friendly. The horses Roy and JR, and the donkey Jack are a hoot. All very friendly. Still can say enough about Melissa and Bob, wonderful people. The house had everything we needed for cooking, relaxing and cleaning. The WiFi is super. There is a fiber optic line running thru the property so I suspect they are connected……

“My husband and I stayed for a quick work trip. The home is older, but well cared for. There were fans and a solid AC - which fended off the even-hot-for-TX May temps. There were even ice cubes and chilled/filtered water in the fridge when we arrived. A coffee-shop and grocery store are very close by. And it worked great for us as our project destination was only minutes away.”
