“Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. ”

“A beautiful spot in a lovely village. We only wish we had stayed longer. Beds and rooms are spacious well lit and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with delicious fresh food with coffee and fresh orange juice. It’s the same every day so if you like variety best be prepared to cook in your room or walk. Easy but somewhat hilly walk to the main square, full of vibrant tavernas with good food. Excellent friendly service from the staff. ”

“Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem Resort auf Kreta! Die Mitarbeiter waren äußerst nett und freundlich, was den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Das Essen war einfach hervorragend eine tolle Auswahl an lokalen und internationalen Gerichten, die jeden Gaumen erfreuen. “Sehr schickes Hotel, aber leider am falschen Ort. Beim Spaziergang zum Strand wünscht man sich nach kurzer Zeit wieder in seine Hoteloase zurück. Ein Auto ist also ein Muss, wenn man noch etwas anderes sehen möchte. Gut sortierte Bar und sehr nettes Personal in allen Bereichen. Die Auswahl am Buffet mittags und abends war OK, aber nicht 5-Sterne-Niveau. Für unseren Geschmack fehlte oft die Würze im Essen. Die Liegen wurden leider auch in der Nebensaison Anfang Oktober ab 8:30 Uhr von den Gästen……
