“It was our first time staying here. They gave us a top floor lakeside room and we loved it. The staff were very friendly and professional. The room and common areas were very clean. It was very quiet at night. The beds were comfy. The pool was closed. We were very close to the all of the stores. Had a nice selection of breakfast items for free. A great place to stay. ”

“We dashed over to Michigan for a girls wine tasting sleep over. We enjoyed our stay at The Shire. The host was extremely accommodating. The Shire had every amenity that we desired and more...we will be back soon! ”

“From the moment I booked this cabin the host was in communication. This made check in and check out seamless. We live in the city and this was the perfect escape for us and our small dog. I loved siting by the firepit or in the hot tub. My dog loved romping around in the snow. Inside the cabin we enjoyed the ping pong table. The cabin vibe is cozy and relaxing. The only cons I have that are worth noting for future guests 1) You have to bring your own firewood to the property. I wish……

“WOW! Cannot say enough about this property besides our group will be returning. I came for a weekend away with 12 women and from the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and found everything we could have hoped for and more. The owner met us to show us around the HUGE property and made sure we had what we needed (wifi, thermostats, working the TVs, etc.). He even left a gift of local goodies and gave us great recs on nearby restaurants and hiking trails. After that personal touch, we all……
