“Hotel is nice, staff is helpful, breakfast lousy, dinner service nice but very slow, like a southern state”

“We stayed one night - January 26. I came up from Boston with my adult child who had to take a training at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine. Being January, everything in Castine was closed - no hotels, nothing. this was the next closest place. I was very pleased. THe room was pristine. Looks like brand new carpet and flooring. The room and bathroom were immaculate. THe beds were very comfortable and the towels were of high quality. ”

“Very pleasant staff that appeared to be local. The hotel was very clean and cared for but finishes were definitely dated. ”

“The hotel is located inside the University of Maine campus, which is quiet, safe, and has convenient parking. The rooms seem to be converted from student dormitories, so the layout is different from typical hotels. The bathroom in my room was exceptionally large, almost at a luxury mansion level, and the bed was also big. The room was clean with high ceilings, but there was no desk available for use, which was somewhat inconvenient.”
