“Wonderful location, beautiful views across the lake. House was very clean, downstairs shower had two shower heads, no shortage of hot water when all showers were used. We brought two boats and 8 people show up (one couple and 6 singles). Everything was very comfortable, Wi-Fi worked great, nice apple orchard down the road that also sells fire wood ($60 for pickup load). We parked two trucks with trailers and 5 other cars across the street and in the driveway. It’s a dead end road with……

“This place was perfect for our weekend stay with our 3 small dogs. We loved the beautiful lake view, the large deck with bbq and the firepit in the front yard. It is so hard to find a nice place that will allow us to bring our 3 small dogs. Peter was very friendly and accommodating and answered all our questions promptly. We would definitely stay here again.”

“We had one prerequisite: unfettered access to both Lake Wentworth and the Cotton Rail Trail. We learned this property is actually on Fernald Basin, separated from Wentworth in 1872. I found no area by which to easily portage a kayak up out of the basin and over to Lake Wentworth. The basin has snapping turtles, lots of undergrowth. Kayaking on Wentworth requires vehicle transport. (Allen Albee Beach is a private beach and requires a pass, which was not left). Access to the trail is only by means……

“The Cozy Cottage nestled in the heart of Alton Bay, NH was just what my family of four needed for an extended holiday weekend getaway. My favorite keepsake from staying at Rich’s Cozy Cottage was most definitely the spectacular view and the live music heard from across the Bay while I relaxed on the comfy blue chairs in the large breezeway! We even brought our pugs and our 22 ft boat. Next time I hope to be able to reserve a dock, but the ramp is literally a five minute walk away.”

“The place is as advertised, quaint, rustic, on a beautiful, private spot on a gorgeous lake. Mountain views and a morning paddle with my daughter brought us an incredible loon escort...complete with their magical call. They followed us for 15 mins or so as we were the only folks on the lake. The camp itself was nice, we had some "first folks" of the summer issues in the cottage, but David was easy to communicate with and very quick to address them. We would visit again!”

“The lake is right outside the door, and the view from the living room is just beautiful! We were in the area for work and didn't have much time to enjoy it, but there is a gorgeous gazebo on the side and a fire pit on the patio out back - both looking directly our onto the lake. One small downside, the bedroom is quite small - but we did enjoy the view of the sunrise on the lake right from the bed..”

“Every year we come to the lake to take our kids to camp. It’s always just 2 nights, but we like staying in a house especially now that we have a dog. The Cowbell Cottage was perfect. It was so clean and nicely decorated. We had a lovely time. Ashley was a great host.”
