“Overall a unique, and nice house and stay. If you bring a pup you should know that there is no access from the house itself to the enclosed, designated area for your dog. It was raining most of the time we were there so not much fun especially at night to have to slop around outside to get to the entrance to the gate to the dog area. This is just a heads up. ”

“We had a nice stay at this Vrbo. Great place to get right on the Avenue of the Giants, which is a beautiful drive. The house had what we needed. There is a small grocery store nearby which can give you all the basics. Beds were comfortable and I appreciated there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. On the down side, the road (driveway?) next to the property looks like the local dump. Lots of abandoned cars and junk. The property is a great place for kids to explore nature. But it’s on a……

“My husband and I live in Fortuna, about 35 miles north of this cottage. We wanted a getaway close by because we only have one day off together a week but we wanted a nice, romantic place to celebrate our four year wedding anniversary. The Cottage was affordable and very pretty in the pictures and I would have been so happy with the basics but the host went above and beyond filling the place with amenities and details to make the stay amazing. “Good impression. Good location. There were 6 in our group and we all had beds and it was close to the Eel River. Only one issue: a dog came to the front door each night and barked and barked.”

“The rental was great and clean for the most part. However, we did find mouse droppings on the counter and in the utensil and silverware drawers. They should probably be deep cleaned. Also, the batteries for the Dish remote needed to be replaced. Other than that, the rental was lovely, and we felt right at home. Thank you! ”
