“Loved the house. I wished there was covering for the door. It has a lot of glass and people can look right in the door. Some of the items are placed to high for some people to reach. For example the laundry soap and the coffee mugs. No iron or ironing board. The knob to change from tub to shower head was very difficult to turn. Otherwise everything was perfect.”

“Two bedroom with Jack & Jill bath (bathroom between two bedrooms). Well-supplied kitchen and home. You can tell Amy has worked in hospitality for a number of years - well-suited and placed furniture and supplies. Dining magazine and Host notebook were outdated. Minetti’s for example closed in 2024. I understand it is difficult to keep up with closures these days! Many tips and recommendations in Host notebook were still helpful and relevant. Did not affect our visit, but knob missing……

“Family of 8 came and attended a graduation. The house was large, spacious ,allowed for privacy .I appreciated the ample seating . The bean bag chair was a big hit with the child. The kitchen has the basics so I’m glad that we brought some specialty cookware and knives. Out door was spacious and fully fenced so we felt comfortable letting the child play outside. Plenty of parking , quiet, safe ,peaceful area . No riff raff or homeless walking by. I go to Eureka/ Arcata every year and this was my……

“The location was great, Amy the host was very accessible. The house is very spacious and comfortable, equipped with extra supplies in the pantry and for cleaning up if needed. Very quiet and relaxing neighborhood. We went for our sons graduation at Val poly Humboldt, and couldn’t ask for a better place to stay! I would definitely book again if I find myself in that area again.”

The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with cozy beds that made for a great night’s sleep. It’s an ideal spot for family or friends to gather.Host Marissa was very friendly and provided clear, detailed instructions on how to get there — though the place was easy to find. There were so many thoughtful touches—from extra linens and air mattresses to easy-to-use appliances and lots of seating.
