“My husband and I stayed in the property for three nights. We traveled with my parents and adult brother. There was plenty of space for us all. It’s in a small kind of eclectic community about 10 or so minutes to downtown Eureka. There is a small diner just a few blocks away for breakfast and lunch. The drive to town was really easy. “We loved our stay here and would absolutely stay again. Such an ideal location for visiting the redwoods- right next to Avenue of the Giants. Secure and gated. “We come here about twice a year for a week enjoying the redwoods, the rural ambiance, and the historic town center. A trip to Headwaters Forest, one or two trips to the Humboldt National Wildlife Refuge, out the Petrolia Road, out to the beach, shopping in Old Town Eureka, a visit to the Arcata Farmers Market--what's not to love? “I wanted to take a bath so I got a couple of the Clorox wipes to wipe down the bath tub. The first swipe I did came up with debris and hair. It grossed me out, so I decided to take a shower. The water lapped at my ankles because there was so much hair clogging the drain!! Then I dropped something behind the nightstand and found tons of dust there. Looked clean, but was only clean in the middle. ”
