“Spacious and sunny rooms. Bed was very comfortable. Loved the sun porch and the chickens. Fully equipped with everything you might need. ”

“This is a great place for a couple to stay in Alameda. The cottage is beautifully appointed, quiet, and within easy walking distance of the Park Street shops. Safeway and Trader Joes are a five minute drive away. The adjoining gardens, which guests are free to use, are lovely. The cottage comes supplied with all the basics. We stayed there for 10 days and would definitely come again. John and Arthur were gracious hosts.”

“The casita was fabulous. Modern, quiet, and very private. Kitchen and appliances high end and all supplies, utensils, condiments , were well stocked. The bed was comfy and shower flow just perfect. I felt safe and comfy and the location was conveniently close to the freeway to get me where I needed to be everyday. Ernesto was very responsive and patient w my questions. Would stay again in a heartbeat. ”

“This place is magnificent if you seek beauty, serenity and lovely views. You do need to be able to drive twisty roads but the trip is worth it. My husband calls the Sanctuary a tree house and it certainly feels that way. Art works surround you and the bed sooooo comfortable. We will be back someday!”

“Riza and Miguel have created a comfortable and well appointed cottage that has everything you’ll need for a pleasant stay. The entire unit was very clean and has many amenities. Beds were comfortable and there were extra pillows, linen, and towels for the bathroom. Kitchen was well appointed and we cooked several meals during our time there. Television was great and WiFi signal and speed allowed me to work remotely without a hitch. The washer and dryer were easy to access in the main building……

“The studio cottage was perfect for my month visiting UC Berkeley. It was exactly as described, everything was functional and fresh. It was also a great find and luxury to have our own laundry. It is in a quiet area, yet about a 5 minutes walk from Trader Joes and restaurants. Easy to get around by walking, city bike, and bus. Good walking distance to the university also. Swami and Lata were very kind and accommodating; whenever I had a question they were very quick to respond and generous with……
