“Spotless rooms, piping hot showers and a gorgeous view of the ocean while eating a delicious cooked breakfast. I had a lovely time staying at Magellans Hotel. A big thank you to the kind and helpful staff, who were bravely chasing off a troop of baboons as I arrived!”

“This was an excellent stay. The hotel contacted us in advance to offer early access to the room and to confirm our arrival time. The hotel manager, Wonderful, was a welcoming and helpful host. The room was super clean, spacious and very comfortable with a wonderful sea view. The hotel is within walking distance of a good restaurant and grocery and wine stores are near by. Could not have asked for more.”

“Even though we only stayed for two nights, it was really worth it. Ray and Sanchia were super helpful with anything we asked for or requested, the view is even more awe inspiring when you see it compared to the photos. The room is very spacious with all the usual amenities, as well as a few snacks and drinks and house keeping every day; if you need it. Lots of things to do around and nice places to eat. Don't be scared of the steps, they are definitely doable ;) ”

Our first floor room was spacious and well decorated with all ameneties including tea/coffee, fridge, beach towels etc. TV had Netflix etc. More St James than Kalk Bay but only 10mins walk to Kalk Bay. Breakfast was excluded but we just added and the choice was extensive. parking was available just around the corner. Only two comments which did not bother us was that the room had no air-con but was very cool. Overhead fan and open windows were fine. The only other comment its……

“A very welcoming hotel in the middle of Fish Hoek. All the staff we met could not do enough for us. Although there is no restaurant, The Peak coffee shop at 50m was great.”

“J'ai séjourné dans ce B&B (chambre #3) pendant 2 nuits et c'était parfait. Toute l'équipe est vraiment gentille, souriante et présente en cas de besoin. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et cuisiné à la demande. Je suis arrivée bien avant l'heure du check-in et on m'a donné ma chambre et expliqué le fonctionnement. Le Muize est idéalement situé, proche de la plage, de restaurants/cafés et de magasins. Il y a pas mal de choses à faire/voir dans cette ville, notamment le sound bath & yoga avec……

“very old guesthouse!!!!! wrong description from the webpage: 1. no free wifi in room; 2. no parking, 3. no hot water or tap water in room, should paid 25R for a bottle of water! 4. it is a youth hostel not a 4-star !!! 5. may out of electric supply... 6. they ask for 12R for VAT after April 1... 7. a lot of stairs turning from corner to corners... 8.eerie feeling - very dark environment with a lot of strange drawings; 9. the car just park on a single double way path - VERY DANGEROUS and……
