“Our room has the best view looking out to the beautiful Gyllngvase Beach and it is just around 8 mins walk to it. Nice breakfast and staff, room is clean and have everything you need. Town centre is also within walking distance.”
“Nice sea view from sea-facing rooms.
There was scaffolding, which obscured the view of some of the inland-facing rooms.
Pool / sauna are great. Pool has a shallow area sectioned off for kids. There's a small gym too.
Many car park spaces were infinged by excess vegetation or skip. A couple of spaces not really accessible due to the center of a 'mini roundabout'.
Two EV chargers available via some app (didn't use them).”
“I loved staying at Jacob's Ladder. The rooms are gorgeous and the owners are fabulous. You can walk all over Falmouth from this location. The pub is fun and family friendly. The food is great. My room was very quiet. I'll definitely stay here again!! ”
“Second time of staying, this time I took advantage of the free to use Sauna and Hot Tub, made for a very chilled stay.
Love the cheery staff, everyone is very friendly and helpful.
Must mention the lovely cooked to order breakfasts with a view.
Highly recommend.”
“The hotel was in a lovely location overlooking the sea. The room was lovely with balcony. The bed was super comfortable with great crisp white sheets. Couldn’t fault the breakfast very tasty and well presented. I would definitely stay there again. ”
“Only an one overnight stay which was very good value but was ruined by the humongous amounts of horrendous seagull phoo that covered my car while parked in the disable space outside reception.
It was disgusting!!!!

“We had a wonderful few nights in a yurt at the end of July. As a family of 2 adults and 3 children we found the space to be more than comfortable and spacious. The yurt itself was wonderfully furnished and the kitchen outside well equipped for all cooking needs. Hosts Kate and Terry were always friendly, approachable and on hand to help.
The communal facilities were spotlessly clean and showers nice and hot. It was a real bonus having a kitchen with electricity, fridge space and a lock box for……
“This is my third stay at Gallen Treath and I always get a warm welcome. Nothing is too much trouble from the hosts. It suits me perfectly. Room is clean and a great range of breakfast options. ”
“Lovely hotel in a beautiful spot. We had a Seaview room on the second floor which was lovely but quite small. I would expect, for the price, there to be complimentary water in the room but there wasn’t.
Dinner was superb.
It was a job sometimes to get served, there weren’t many staff around. Could have done with a little more attention at breakfast. ”
