“We had such a lovely time in this unique vacation rental! Staying in the old lighthouse was very charming and access to the roof with views was perfect for a morning cup of coffee. This is the kind of place I always hope for when looking on vrbo - character, charm, and also easy access. The room was smaller than anticipated, but with just the two of us we didn't mind at all. “The Mendocino art center is wonderful. We loved being in town and so near the ocean. We loved our little apartment. The only thing I would request is that the outdoor lights are super bright, for them to be turned off at night. They’re not gentle lights. They are very bright, LED blue lights. Even though we had curtains, the lights came in from all around and made the room pretty bright at night. We stayed for two nights, and both mornings around 5:00 AM, somebody banged around in the shed below……

“When booking I didn't realize this space was situated within the Mendocino Art Center. Hence the "rewarding" experience. My husband and I loved being in the energies of creative processes. If it sounds busy, might be loud (?), it only felt alive, even in the silence of the days when we were the only people on the grounds. We came for nature and food, but were gifted so much more. Additionally, we ended up staying in Unit 6, a very spacious apartment with enormous windows in every room opening……
