I had read the reviews that warned me and I just thought they were over reacting. They were not. I had to haul my stuff in from half way up because my car could not make it any farther up. “This cabin was the perfect size for our family of four. We were in town for the New River Trail races (I ran the 50k) and we enjoyed the map of the trail on the dining table. The kitchen was stocked and the snacks and K cups were appreciated. There is a trail down to the river (not for those with limited mobility) and it was a fun adventure finding the markers in the trees. “The Huckleberry Cabin was very cozy and nicely decorated. It was rustic and true to its original build in the 1800’s with modern upgrades. Walking through the front door was like stepping back in time. Great place to stay to get off the grid and reconnect with nature or unplug from the computer, but also close enough to town if you need supplies. ”

Loved the lakefront property with a covered boat dock, perfect for a little fishing. Nice surprise to find the porch swing on the dock, wonderful place to enjoy the view of the lake, watching the sunset. We were tickled to find a vacation place, reasonably priced that was pet friendly. The steamy hot tub made our 30th Anniversary extra special.”
