“Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price”
“The owners are the only staff there. They don’t clean the room during the stay, an open dog is wandering all around and nobody cared to fasten the dog belt. It does have a pool but u will have to gain the owner’s permission in order to use it, hence it’s more like a decoration. 3 rooms share a lobby which is the only access to a fridge. Strongly don’t suggest any Asian fellows to stay. ”
“Stayed in one of the chalets. It was spacious with air-conditioning which was great. The bed was very good and the overall experience was very good. The bathroom could use a bit of upgrading as the towel rail was missing, no towel hooks and there was a lack of shelf space . Not a big deal really forca 3 star hotel. A lovely continental breakfast was included ”
