“My husband and I enjoyed our five day stay at the Canal House. We were surrounded by early American décor and felt like we stepped back in time with modern conveniences added. We were cool and comfortable in the midst of a heat wave, the mattress in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked.The rocking chairs on the porch were great for morning coffee and conversations. The nearness of the C&O Canal Towpath at Taylor’s Landing provided wonderful opportunities……

“Very nice place, the lay out is perfect for multiple adults, we stayed for 10 night for work and it was perfect, we will be back for another long stay soon. ”

“Comfortable and right at the C&O trail, so easy to take lovely walks. The house is clean, the kitchen and dining spaces more than adequate, multiple common areas are nice, as are bedrooms. Minor issue in that it seems the visitors before us made the remote for the downstairs tv disappear. Connection via phone, text etc can be spotty unless you're on the houses wifi, which worked well.”

“We really enjoyed staying here. Kitchen was well stocked. Beautiful porch with a gorgeous view. Living area is nice and open. The inly feedback I would have is that the master bed does not have much support, so my back was a little sore in the mornings after sleeping on it. Overall would absolutely stay here again!”

“This was a great fit for our family. Secluded but not to far from Gettysburg. Checkin was super smooth, just punched in the code once we arrived. This home was fully stocked with everything you might have at your own home, and more! It was true to its description on the website. Thank goodness for the one downstairs bedroom though; those spital stairs were a challenge for me, having foot surgery recently. There was a nice community park at the bottom of the hill that was great for evening walks.……

“We couldn’t believe how much space we had here - from the beautiful veranda to the stunning rooms to the pool and backyard - there was so much to explore and enjoy. The kids loved the “secret” Jefferson doors, all of the toys provided, the playground and the real player piano. Everyone loved the pool and large gathering spaces. The host and property manager were very helpful and welcoming. We took walks to see the nearby stables and local coffee shop. It is obvious that the owners put a lot of……

“The house had everything you needed, very clean, and was so very cozy and welcoming! A beautiful view of the creek from the decks. Would definitely stay here again!”

“Exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of room for everyone. My son, wife and 2 boys came to visit everyday. They were the reason we came there. Plenty of toys and lot of seating for everyone. Nice big kitchen to cook. Quick trip to Walmart. We place a grocery order when we got there and had them delivered about 10pm. That was nice. The neighborhood was quiet and very nice. We will come here on our next visit. ”
