“The building is old, but beautifully maintained and updated. There is so much more interest and character in a building with history, a building which was constructed in an era when craftsmanship was prized and the materials used were beautiful wood and stone. It was a pleasure to stay there.”

“This is, indeed, a motel for sportsmen. Our room had a backwoods theme, but was also prepped for folks coming in from a day in the backwoods. I think it’s being upgraded room by room (lots of building supplies blocking a couple of rooms), and kudos to whoever is taking in what seems to be a labor of love. The motel is not actually in Dorchester- don’t let Google misdirect you- and is quite isolated, so bring your own breakfast. But it’s also in the heart of the Driftless, which is a wonderful……

“It was very convenient, and loved being downtown Decorah! Easy to check-in and check-out. Appreciated having a phone number to call for assistance. It was a cozy stay in Decorah. Thank you very much!”

“Great overall stay. Couple of minor things could use improvement but enjoyed the tiny house. Needs a decent grill. Had to wait on access code.”

“House and neighborhood were beautiful! Easy access to downtown without having to stay downtown was perfect! House was perfect for a small, adult weekend getaway. Communication and help from host was great!”

“The apartment is exactly what it shows in pictures. It’s clean and the kitchen has everything we needed for our long weekend getaway. The lotions and soaps are all great quality. Mattress and towels are comfortable. Right on the Main Street, across from a great coffee shop and shops and restaurants. Close driving to hiking trails and breweries. Would absolutely stay again. ”
