“Greatly enjoyed my stayed here! The room was very comfortable, quiet, super clean, with a great view of trees and sky (5th floor, back side of hotel). I was amazed at the scope of the breakfast offerings - eggs, meats, waffles (you make in griddle), yogurt and toppings, expresso coffee drinks (from machine but tasty), bagels, and more. And the breakfast room itself was spacious and pleasant. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. All in all I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.……

“I was traveling for a recreational event. This stay offered exactly what I expected for the value: friendly and courteous staff, clean and well-maintained rooms, and excellent location for access to the New River Gorge National Park. There are several food options nearby and/or within driving distance. There is a restaurant on site as well. I'd stay again and I recommend it if you're looking for value and convenience. “This is a budget hotel so don’t expect the Ritz but new owners are cleaning it up and doing a good job. The linens and mattress were all brand new and very comfortable. New vanity tops and shower walls in bathrooms. All halls and walls freshly painted. Basic free breakfast had sausage and gravy biscuits. They have a few more rooms to finish and I wish them success. ”

“Almost didn't stay there because the reviews weren't great. Not the newest most modern place but staff were all super friendly. Hotel was quiet, shower was hot, bed was comfortable. AC kept it nice and cool. Mini fridge worked. Outlets worked. ”

“We attended a family wedding in the area and the Skyline Lodge was very convenient for many family members to stay at the same place for a reasonable price. The lodge is clean but a bit dated (didn't bother us). Front desk person was not very friendly and seemed bothered by our being there; barked at us a few times for minor issues that could have been better resolved with courtesy (Please and thank you go a long way).
