“we stayed in one of the sculptures. we liked having 100% privacy (no shared walls/floors/ceiling), the top open to the sky, the large shower, and the firm bed. The fridge was also handy for storing drinks we had bought at the grocery store. The pool was great for dangling feet and enjoying the amazing view. Highly recommend doing the "Ruta de pontes" hike for even better views. The breakfast is great, plenty of options. The dinner not so great, but the moscow mule was great.”

The breakfast is self service with everything laid on for you and is of a high quality. The spa facilities are good, the pool has powerful jets that massage well and the staff are welcoming. The gym is small but user friendly. Situated just outside the lovely town of Penamacor in this sleepy area of Portugal, you get a real treat of a retreat here. I will come again and highly……

“Erg mooie locatie prachtig uitzicht mooi oud gebouw. Heerlijk binnenbad ook mooi buitenbad maar daar was het te fris voor. Leuke speelkamer met o.a. tafeltennis en tafelvoetbal. Het is fijn dat er een restaurant is maar dat mag wel enigszins verbeterd worden. De prjjs/ kwaliteit is niet in verhouding. Zeer vriendelijk man bij receptie, wij zouden er mits in de buurt zo weer verblijven. ”

“O hotel sofreu remodelações há pouco tempo e está muito moderno. O pessoal era muito simpático! O quarto era um pouco pequeno, mas fui informada que há alguns quartos assim. O pequeno almoço é ótimo, porém não têm panquecas. Acho que é um ponto de melhoria, mas de resto tudo ótimo. Chegamos um pouco antes das 14h e o quarto já estava pronto. ”
