“Great place to stay.”

“Quaint. Lake of Egypt area and out of the bustle of Marion proper. A little dated; but pretty good bang for your buck. Rooms are nice. Beds are comfortable and if you want a hint of curry...you may want to bring some. Stay here - a no nonsense inn.”

“The housekeeper came to reset our TV. It was the first time I've met my housekeeper. She was so friendly and asked if she could do anything else. She asked if the room was ok because she had she had cleaned it. I liked knowing my housekeeper. ”

“Clean, comfortable and staff very friendly. Room a/c didn't get the room as cold as I like, but that was because the bed was almost against it. Plenty of choices for breafast. Only downfall was having to get our own replacement towels.”

“Roaches. Since this hotel is under a remodel I thought it would only be one or so but no so many. Staff were friendly but overall condition of the hotel is poor.”

“Comfortable Stay with Excellent Amenities Stayed at Country Garden and Suite in Benton, IL and was very impressed. The room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, and everything looked recently updated.The hot breakfast in the morning was a great touch — fresh and filling. The staff was friendly and check-in was fast and easy. I also liked that the hotel is right off the highway, which made it convenient for my road trip.”

“The toilet stool had a crack in the side, and it had a bolt missing on the bottom. When you moved on it it would tilt. The hair dryer outlet had a big crack, and it looked like it had been smoking. The outlet was not GFCI (dangerous). The air conditioning system did not work properly. The trash outside of the building was not emptied for the 5 days we were there. There were weeds all around the outside of the building. The coffee was good.”
