“This is a good property for a group. The game room downstairs, the outdoor setup and the well equipped kitchen were terrific. Property is very peaceful and we really enjoyed. ”

“This place was awesome! We enjoyed every day especially star gazing on cold winter’s night while sipping on some red wine or whiskey to stay warm while star gazing. Having a chance to use the fire stove was awesome. The kids loved the snow. Even our 3 year old German Shepherd acted like a snow dog enjoyed running in the snow and at one point decided to lay there as if he was in a cozy bed. It was easy to maintain contact with Scott. His wife, Mary, baked us a pumpkin loaf and it was……

“This house is a grand old lady, comfortable with a few quirks befitting her age. The downstairs is spacious and we were able to fit 17 around the dinner tables available. Kitchen was well outfitted. There is a very steep staircase however, which some might find intimidating. Also, due to the age and draftiness of the house, the heating system was barely able to keep up with the 28-30 degree temps outside. Probably more comfortable in the non-winter months. Would stay again. ”

“This was the perfect setting for our family Christmas. Going above and beyond, our hosts set up a Christmas tree and even had a sweet gift under the tree when we arrived. Our backdrop for Christmas was the beautiful Mt. Shasta. The home was well set-up for our needs of cooking many meals and Christmas dinner as well. I brought some things I thought I might need but was surprised to see the kitchen so well supplied. The surrounding area gave us many choices for things to do including: skiing,……

“Beautiful property and a working cattle ranch. Took the family and 2 grandkids. Fishing was a bit difficult, but lots of other fishing spots close by. We liked feeding the horses carrots. Cows were great to see all around. Ranch manager Tim was really helpful with tips. Nice ranch to hike all over. ”

“Overall, a very nice environment for 7 people to hang out. A couple of things : there was no hot water kettle to put on the stove: lamps in the living room and 1 bedroom had lost their knobs to turn them on, so once on, the plugs acted as on-off switches. The 1/2 bath toilet ran consistently and we fixed it with a new part from the hardware store. Reasons for the good rating. Liked the double oven, fireplace and wood kept us toasty and plenty of places to sit.”
